Nepal is world renowned for its natural beauty and welcoming culture. With 8 of the 10 highest mountains in the world, including Mt. Everest, Nepal's landscape is truly inspirational. Nepal is also one of the poorest countries in the world, one third of the population lives below the poverty line. Obtaining healthcare is one of the major challenges people face in this developing country. This is where Lukla Hospital steps in to serve the people of Solukhumbu Region. People come from miles around, from the rural villages that have no roads, electricity or hope of providing medical treatment. Some even come carrying sick family members on their backs, because they know they will get the treatment they desperately need here, regardless of finances. Providing excellent healthcare to our community is our goal and passion.
